A foggy crystal ball.Hundreds of thousand people have been laid off… Economic Stimulus Package… Buy American… These are headlines that we see in every news site. What does all this have to do with an MBA? If I told you I didn’t totally have a handle on the answer, would you keep reading? Going back to the year 2007, everything seemed so much clearer. My crystal ball was telling me that the global economy is growing so quickly that more Starbucks were opening outside the U.S. than inside the U.S. So, I asked my crystal ball where the next big stage for economic prosperity was (Crystal ball = imaginary drop of rain (this is Seattle, though, so I don’t have to use too much imagination)). My crystal ball told me that it’s the global economy where my MBA will be needed.

24kt Gold and Diamonds Macbook Pro

June 22, 2009 |15:48 | Crystals  By : Team X

24kt-Gold-and-Diamonds-MacbIf it appears at first blush that our "only diamonds" rule has been broken, fear not. It is not Computer Choppers’ MacBook Pro that we are interested in here, but something that sits upon it. Yes, the
Apple logo.

There’s something delicious about that totem of minimalism being slathered in ostentation. But wallowing in shadenfreude is useless. In the context of good taste, if in few others,
Cupertino is a house of angels.

On the bright side, these diamonds take a crap gadget — the thing merely glows — and manage to interfere with even that limited utility. Well done,
Computer Choppers!

Carnet de Bal Haute Joaillerie Set by Audemars Piguet

This unique jewellery set, which has emerged from the Audemars Piguet Haute Joaillerie workshop, is an invitation to close your eyes and allow yourself to daydream for a few moments. To imagine a gentle summer evening in a garden pervaded by the fragrance of begonias, lilacs and hydrangeas.

Tinkling piano notes and the haunting sound of a violin float through the warm summer air – while the cheerful laughter of the many guests spills out from behind the large bay windows of the house. Inside, people are chatting and couples are dancing.

In the centre of the room, at the heart of the party, sways a modern-day princess in a white taffetas gown. Her neck is daintily encircled by a choker and her wrist is graced by a watch on which all the garden flowers seem to have crystallised into sparkling diamonds. The object of countless admiring gazes, she dances the night away – while privately imagining she is filling in a dance card or “carnet de bal”, just as young ladies used to do.

Tumbled StonesTumbled stones are polished by putting them in a tumbler with grit such as sand for a long time! The process smooths and polishes the stones. Tumbled stones are wonderful to use in healing layouts or to carry in your pocket. They make great gifts, especially for children. The Sea Goddess has many, many types of tumbled stones.

A partial list is Amethyst, Red Jasper, Carnelian, Citrine, Malachite, Aventurine, Blue Lace Agate, Sodalite, Clear Quartz, Tigers Eye, Rhodochrosite, Fluorite, Moonstone, Bloodstone, Aquamarine, Emerald, Hematite and many more. Gems, Crystals and PendulumsWe offer gems and crystals in the forms of necklaces, bracelets and worry stones, or "pocket tranquilizers". Rubbing the smooth surface of a stone relieves stress through a form of reflexology.

The pressure on nerves within your thumb triggers the release of endorphins, a natural relaxant. The repetitive action also helps focus your thoughts.

You should wear or carry stones whose powers are aligned with your intentions. For instance, garnet accentuates sexual energy and citrine attracts business opportunities. The right side of this page contains a list of stones and their properties. We invite you to come visit us and experience them first hand!

Rhinestones are a girl's best friend

January 30, 2009 |16:31 | Crystals  By : Team X

THE COLLECTIBLES: Vintage costume jewelry of the 1930s and '40s fell out of favor during the 1960s, when it was considered gaudy, but is making a comeback. The baubles and rhinestone-covered bows that your grandmother wore now are considered collectibles.

THE COLLECTOR: C.J. Galliano has been buying and selling vintage costume jewelry for 25 years. Her love affair with it began at age 6, when her grandmother left her a collection of costume necklaces, brooches and earrings. "None of my aunts wanted it because they considered it a bunch of junk, so they gave it all to me," she said.

"My mom packed it away, and every year on my birthday she would let me take it out and look at it." When Galliano turned 16, she got the jewelry to keep. "Rhinestones were popular when I was in high school, so I sometimes wore a piece or two to school, but I left it at home when I went to college," she said.
